Admissions Process
Thank you for considering Montessori School of Huntsville (MSH) for your child’s education! For 60 years, we have provided exemplary Montessori education to families in the greater Huntsville area, and we are excited to welcome your family to our community. From infant-caregiver classes through 9th grade, we guide children to be independent learners, critical thinkers, and tomorrow’s leaders while preparing them for a life of purpose, integrity, and academic accomplishment.
Enrollment is now open for the 2025-2026 school year (ages 4 through 8th grade) and for the 2026-2027 school year with expanded offerings through 9th grade. The priority application period runs September through December, and applicants will be contacted in January. Applications and fees serve as placement in our waiting pool until an opening becomes available.

Register for a Group Tour
Tours are held on the 2nd Wednesday and 3rd Friday of each month. They are a great opportunity to see the Montessori philosophy in action and get a feel for our community. We ask that tours be attended by adults only or infants who can be worn. Please contact our Director of Admissions at admissions@montessorihuntsville.org with questions regarding tour dates.

Apply Online
Applications can be submitted online at any time. An application does not guarantee admission. Students are placed based on the needs of each classroom and our ability to support each student and environment. A nonrefundable fee of $200.00 is due at the time of application. *Updated 11/24/2025*
Tuition Information
Tuition is set yearly by the Board of Directors following approval of the annual budget. Additional tuition information is available here.

After a tour
We’ll send you a link to our online application. You will be contacted within two weeks of receipt of a completed application. Please note, there is a $150 nonrefundable application fee, and a completed application does not guarantee admission.
Admissions Appointment and Family Interview
Once your application has been received, our Admissions Team will contact you to schedule an Admissions Appointment, followed by a Family Interview with your child’s prospective teacher.
Admission decisions are based on several factors, including classroom composition and family alignment with our Mission, Vision, and Values. These conversations provide an opportunity for both your family and our team to ensure that Montessori School of Huntsville is the right fit.
For applicants to our Primary through 9th Grade programs, a student visit day will also be scheduled.
Enrollment Appointment
Once a placement has been offered, we will schedule an Enrollment Appointment to sign your contract and any other admissions paperwork. All paperwork must be completed within 7 days of the Enrollment Appointment in order to hold your spot.
If a placement is not available for your child, you will receive notification that your application has been moved to the waiting pool.
Re-Enrollment
Re-enrollment for currently enrolled families begins each December. You’ll receive instructions and deadlines from our admissions team via email. We appreciate your continued partnership and look forward to another great year at MSH!
