Primary Classroom Teacher / Instructional Lead

Qualifications

  1. Holds a Montessori teaching credential from an AMS/MACTE accredited teacher education program and which corresponds to the age levels taught, or is in the process of earning one.
    1. In lieu of a Montessori credential, applicants may meet the following criteria:
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably at least 5 years.
  • Commitment to obtain Montessori credential within 3 years of start date with MSH
  • Demonstrates an ability to relate sensitively to people of all ages and varied backgrounds.
  • Possesses a professional manner, personal characteristics and mental abilities necessary to work with children, including:
    • respect for and faith in each child,
    • sensitivity to individual needs and learning styles,
    • ability to provide appropriate challenges to each child’s learning development,
    • exceptional amount of patience and flexibility
  • Demonstrates an interest in upgrading professional qualifications through participation in a staff development program, especially related to the Montessori approach to education.
  • Meets all staff requirements of local and state regulatory agencies.

Office Manager

The Montessori School of Huntsville seeks an Office Manager for the South Huntsville campus. The candidate would serve as a member of the administrative team, coordinating many aspects of school communication, personnel, purchasing, and operations support.

Qualifications

  1. Has an understanding of the Montessori philosophy in accordance with MSH’s mission and core values
  2. Demonstrates an ability to relate sensitively to people of all ages and varied backgrounds
  3. Demonstrates an interest in upgrading professional qualifications by participating in a  staff development program, especially related to the Montessori approach to education
  4. Possesses a professional manner, personal characteristics and mental abilities necessary to work with children of all ages, including:

Substitute Teacher

The Montessori School of Huntsville seeks substitute teachers for the current school year. Qualified candidates enjoy outdoor learning, support respectful parenting and teaching philosophies, must be at least 18 years of age, and will meet suitability requirements through our background check process.
