Elementary Summer Camp Counselor
We are currently looking for engaging and experienced educators interested in leading weeklong summer camps for elementary-aged children, beginning June 21 and ending July 23. Camp themes are geared heavily toward outdoor education, hands-on learning, and self-directed and student-led activities.
Elementary Assistant and Afternoon Enrichment Teacher
The Montessori School of Huntsville seeks a lower elementary assistant and afternoon enrichment teacher for the 2021-2022 academic year. Candidates must have at least one year experience working with children in an educational setting and have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or be in the process of earning one.
Afternoon enrichment teachers will prepare engaging activities in alignment with Montessori principles. Ideal candidates will have a portfolio of activities to share, both indoor and outdoor, that provide opportunities for social and emotional learning, loose parts / creative play, gross motor skill development, arts enrichment, i.e. visual arts, performing arts, and music and movement, etc.
Hours are typically 9:30-5:30, Monday – Friday – August through May. Availability during seasonal breaks, i.e. spring and summer, may be required.
Early Childhood Assistant Teachers (Toddler and Primary)
The Montessori School of Huntsville seeks early childhood assistant teachers for the 2021-2022 academic year. Candidates must have at least one year experience working with children in a group setting and have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or be in the process of earning one.
Hours are typically 8:30-4:00, Monday – Friday – August through June. Availability during seasonal breaks, i.e. spring and summer, may be required.
Early Childhood Afternoon Assistant Teacher
The Afternoon Enrichment program extends the Montessori day for children ages 3 – 6 who need care outside of regular school hours. The afternoon enrichment teacher prepares a caring, nurturing environment that supports children’s needs for rest and play at the end of a long day. Afternoon Enrichment teachers will prepare engaging activities in alignment with Montessori principles. Ideal candidates will have a portfolio of activities to share, both indoor and outdoor, that provide opportunities for social and emotional learning, loose parts / creative play, gross motor skill development, arts enrichment, i.e. visual arts, performing arts, and music and movement, etc. Passion for yearround outdoor learning is required. Spanish language skills are a plus!
