To apply to the Montessori School of Huntsville, submit a completed application form, the $150 registration fee, and the child's preadmission record and preadmission record addendum to either campus office.All children are conditionally accepted into the school following an interview with a lead teacher. Assuming that parent(s), teachers, and the head of school agree that enrollment is appropriate, your child will be assigned to a class by the head of school or, if enrollment is full, placed on a waiting list.Before your child attends for the first time, the school must have a completed enrollment contract and a current State of Alabama Certificate of Immunization. A state-issued Exemption from Immunization Certificate is permissible. Enrollment is on an annual basis, with the preadmission records and registration fee required each year. The enrollment period begins in February for the coming school year. Currently enrolled families have two weeks to secure their enrollments for the next year before enrollment is opened to the community at large.
An adjustment period is expected for all newly enrolled children. The phasing-in days at the beginning of the school year and a gradual entry period for children admitted mid-year are designed to assist children with "settling in" at the Montessori School of Huntsville. Each child is different, and some may need more time than others to feel comfortable in this new setting. Good communication between you and your child's teacher will make this period less stressful.
We encourage you to observe the classroom in session and meet with the teachers after class. You are welcome to bring your child, but some parents prefer to visit the first time without their child so they are not distracted from learning all they can about the program, then bring their child on a second visit.
Tuition and Fees
A non-refundable annual registration fee of $150 is due upon enrollment, which may be paid in three installments. Tuition for Montessori programs is based on a yearly fee and payable in equal monthly installments, August through May. Please contact our office for more information. If two or more children in the same family attend the school five days a week until at least 1:30 p.m., a 10 percent discount is applied to whichever child pays the lower tuition. A discount is also offered to families with two or more children in full-time extended care, applied to the child paying the lower tuition.
